Fostering our mission to make French literature available to American audiences from coast to coast, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our online shop, offering the most comprehensive selection of French-language books and English translations in the country, and “French Corners”, a curated selection of French and Francophone titles at select independent bookstores across the US.

With titles hand-picked by Albertine staff and the French Embassy Book Department, the inaugural “French Corners” selection encompasses a wide variety of fiction, ranging from classic authors like Honoré de Balzac and Simone de Beauvoir to modern writers such as novelist Michel Houellebecq and playwright Yasmina Reza. Each participating store has created a special section on their shelves, featuring one of two options: a collection of 75 books in French, or a collection of 60 books in English translation plus 15 books in French.

Participating bookstores include Politics and Prose (Washington DC), Brookline Booksmith (Boston), Books and Books (Miami), Nunu Arts and Culture (Arnaudville, Louisiana), Brazos Bookstore (Houston), Powell’s Books (Portland) and The Book Cellar (Chicago).
