Paradise Lost: An Evening with Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt

On Monday, October 28 at 6pm, join acclaimed French author and member of the Académie Goncourt Eric Emmanuel Schmitt as he presents Paradise Lost, his latest novel (trans. by Steven Rendall and Addie Leak, Europa).

Paradise Lost is the first installment of Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt’s monumental project of recounting the history of humanity and the fruits of more than thirty years of research. The first in a series, and in the form of a stylistic novel much like Yuval Noah Harari combined with Alexandre Dumas. Schmitt combines his scientific, religious and philosophical research to propel readers from one world to another, and from pre-history to today.

The conversation will take place in English. This event is free with RSVP. Click here for tickets. The talk will be followed by a book signing, and Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt’s books will be available for purchase in French and in English.

This event is organized by Villa Albertine and Europa.
