Let’s Draw! – An Illustration Workshop
On Sunday, November 17, join 2024 Prix Albertine Jeunesse winning illustrator Anne-Lise Boutin for a drawing workshop.
With charming, delightful illustrations reminiscent of vintage children’s classics, The Brothers Zzli invites readers to join a bear family’s search for belonging in a world that views them with suspicion. This poignant story will spark lasting conversations about the impact of prejudice, the struggles of refugees, and the responsibility we have to our neighbors—especially the new ones.
Inspired by her book, Anne-Lise Boutin will guide participants in a collective drawing workshop. Children will create illustrations inspired by The Brothers Zzli or their imaginations, all while learning how visual art enhances storytelling. This workshop promises an inspiring moment filled with creativity, laughter, and artistic explorations!
The event is open to all, but recommended for children aged 6 to 12. Parents are welcome to attend and support their children’s creative journeys. This event is free with the purchase of a book. Click here for tickets.
This event is co-organized with Villa Albertine, and is a part of Albertine’s 10th Anniversary Celebration and Villa Albertine’s Authors on Tour program.
