Louis-Philippe Dalembert is an award-winning Haitian poet and novelist who has lived and taught in Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. His debut novel, L’autre face de la mer, winner of the 1999 Prix RFO du livre, was published by UVA Press as The Other Side of the Sea in 2014. He writes in both French and Haitian Creole, and his works have been translated into several languages.
