The 2025 Albertine Translation Prize Ceremony
On January 28, the Albertine Translation Prize Ceremony honors the translators and publishers who bring the richness of contemporary French literature to English-speaking audiences. This annual celebration spotlights emerging trends across fiction, non-fiction, comics, and a variety of genres, supported by the Albertine Translation Fund, which helps U.S. publishers bring these works to life.
The ceremony will award two laureates of the Albertine Translation Fund—one in fiction and one in non-fiction—a $5,000 prize for their outstanding translation work. The announcements will be followed by a round-table discussion, hosted by Ed Nawotka of Publishers Weekly, on the subject of current trends in French to English translation. The ceremony will end with a cocktail reception.
Join us to celebrate the winners and mingle with them during a special cocktail reception afterward!

The Albertine Translation Prize is made possible through the generous support of The Florence Gould Foundation and Albertine Foundation.
